Scarlet speaks to me a lot….
On the surface it’s a journey around our heart of America but it’s also a Journey of the soul, metaphorically Scarlet’s walk is literally a walk around our consciousness. We encounter many different characters along the way, many lovers and friends, sadness and gladness, the different facets of our soul unleashed. Each Character helps us on our journey: Amber our vulnerable place where people see us an object rather than a person, Fairytale our storybook romance that just so happens to never work out but in the end we learn from the tale, life is much more than what we believe it to be, Wednesday, however silly and foolish still there’s underlining serious to her, she needs the trust that isn’t there. Strange, She starts to question herself and the people around her, the ice is beautiful but it’s also cold. Carbon, delicate and fragile in pieces, it’s one of our dark places where we go to when we feel weak, depression and loss of self worth, Carbon made only wants to be unmade, nothing is as it seems. Crazy, he’s seductive and playful but we know as much as we like him we can’t hold onto him, he’s just a passing view so he goes with the wind even though she fell in love with him, Wampum prayer, Our spirituality comes in for a landing and we question the fact why do we always have to be so cruel? Vegas: Our confrontation with our past, we all know we don’t want to go there but in the end we have to, to fully let go and move on. Sangria: What we believe is everything and we must be passionate about it because if we don’t have belief in ourselves, who are we really? There’s a secret unity to the song while your Cloud is about the separation of the people, of the land of the thoughts, that hold us together. Pancake: we see the people who are drawn to greed and manipulation, where is the soul of the people anymore, has it been lost to power? I can’t see new york: On the other side all we have is the soul blueprint so why? We know certain people have to go, we know some caused this and we know some people get lost on their way down. Taxi Ride: Our view of death and the disillusionment that follows it. “This we are one crap as we’re invading…” Another girls’ paradise: Is her perception of herself through other people and how she divides the two into becoming her own perception of her own individuality, she comes with a healing and with a selfless nature in the end. Scarlet’s walk: She goes to the center of who she is as a person, through the pain and the pleasure through the healing, she’s there contemplating who she is as a person and through the harships she survived. Virgina: Talking to our past self and releasing the truth to her, yeah we can all be cruel but we also learn through this wave and come out abetter person in the end, when we start digging through our wounds and facing them. Gold Dust is completion, We’ve been searching the soulprint and we’ve finally found outselves, coming full circle. It leads to an awakening point within ourselves so that by the end we have reached gold dust.

Tori Amos at the Chicago Theatre
The entire night was wonderful, Zoolights was very very pretty and then she played so many gems tonight. She had me after suede but it was like a rollercoaster of emotion the way she put her heart into each note. 1,000 Oceans, Father Lucifer, the flirty bachelorette, Cure’s love song(!!!!), Spring Haze, Winter(one of the first songs that got me into tori), cloud on my tongue(in circles and circles and circles, got to stop spinning), fearlessness, She improved a bit which i always love. Plus the 10 minute Star Whisperer which is just downright gorgeous to hear live with the violins bleeding into the music, with the bonn song and singing to stars. “Whisper me back to life” ahhhh It was all phenomenal, I was simply lost inside the music as she was speaking deeply to my soul. It was magical
